Over 1 million people have been displaced, with families in Bekaa Valley and South Lebanon forced to flee their homes under bombardment.
ActionAid is working with our local partners to actively respond to this crisis with a specific focus on women, children, people with disability and the elderly.
ActionAid has a long term presence in Lebanon and is working with local partners to actively respond to this crisis with a specific focus on women, children, people with disability and the elderly. As some of the first responders on the ground, our partners mobilised quickly to support people displaced from southern Lebanon, many of whom arrived with nothing.
Essential items
including food baskets and hygiene kits to over 230 displaced families
Safe spaces
for women and girls to receive psychosocial support, legal aid, and protection services
Shelter supplies
to over 1,000 displaced individuals, including mattresses, pillows, and covers
Cash assistance
to 105 families in southern Lebanon to meet their immediate needs and purchase essential items

"People are arriving with nothing after being forced to abandon their homes. Their immediate needs must be addressed urgently.
Our priority is ensuring their safety and providing shelter – whether through temporary accommodation in shelters, hotels, or with host families – and ensuring security, especially for vulnerable groups such as women, children, and the elderly.
